Siliziumtombak ist beständig gegen Kavitation. Aktuelle Untersuchungen zeigen, dass Siliziumtombak äußerst Kavitationserosionsbeständig ist. Dies ist insbesondere für Hochleistungspumpen und -propeller interessant.

Druckguss- Prototyping
Mit der Eigenentwicklung einer Maschine für Druckguss-Prototypen (HPDC-Prototypen) reagiert BREUCKMANN auf den Kundenwunsch nach schneller und kostengünstiger Verfügbarkeit für Druckgussteile. Ein Beispiel für Rapid Prototyping durch Urformen liefert BREUCKMANN im nordrhein-westfälischen Heiligenhaus.
